Let’s Hike and Write Together!

Music and Writing Night

Tuesday, February 17, 2026 | 6:30-8 p.m. MST

This is a 1.5 hour-long online gathering that combines music, poetry, writing, and friends. This is similar to a book club, but rather than assigning a book, a musical album is the focus.

Participants are encouraged to listen to the album ahead of the gathering, review the lyrics, and come prepared to discuss the artist’s work. Then, we free write for about 30 minutes based on writing prompts associated with the album. At the end of the gathering, we will have time for volunteers to share their work and receive encouraging feedback.

Album: Heard It In a Past Life by Maggie Rogers

Where: Microsoft Teams (a link will be sent to those who register ahead of the gathering)

Listen: Listen to ‘Heard It In a Past Life’ wherever you stream music. The entire album is available for free on YouTube.

Cost: Free

Registration is capped at 6 participants.
