Radiation Reflection, Day 13

There came a point when
I’d read enough Reddit feeds,
made enough phone calls, talked
to all the doctors,
and made a hopeful choice
to move forward with radiation.

Now
at each appointment, I lay
on my back, head turned
to the right, arms above my head.

I surrender.

I surrender to
choices made,
outcomes, and
hope -
come what may.
