Radiation Reflection, Day 9

Blocks that spell “welcome” greet patients each day,
Only now they’ve been switched, and “comewel” they say.
I see “come well” and the phrase puts at ease,
Appointments we face here; it feels like some peace.
It’s inviting, reminds me, come well through this haze,
It speaks to this illness, an approach to these days.
Come well in my heart, as my body is treated,
Come well in my mind and I can’t be defeated.
